My Story
I have been a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor for 10 years now but exercise and healthy eating has not always been a passion of mine.
I was always the overweight girl at school and I hated P.E. I hated ANY type of exercise whether it was team sports or athletics I HATED it.

Don’t Believe me?
Growing up I had an extremely bad relationship with food. I would use food as a comfort, binge eat and secret eat. I was severely bullied at school for my weight and eventually my issues with food spiralled out of control and I became bulimic.
Secondary school was tough for me and the thought of joining a gym could send me into a panic attack but as I reached sixth form I hit breaking point.
At the age of 17 I weighed 15 stone and was manically depressed! I was carrying around the burden of an eating disorder with no way out and no one to help me learn how to improve my physical and mental health.
I joined a gym and HATED it!I had no induction, no contact with a trainer, no one showed me how to use the kit and I remember feeling like everyone was looking at methinking I didn’t belong there! In that moment I knew I wanted to help people NEVER feel the way I did in that moment.
My own struggles inspired My Story
I decided to go an alternative route and I began Group Fitness attending classes like Zumba and BodyPump and I fell instantly in love with the community feel of group exercise.
As the weight came off and I grew in confidence I knew this was what I wanted to do and I completed my Level 2 Exercise to Music and began teaching. The more I taught the more I fell in love with exercise and I then went on to complete my Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification. I now work at Winners 2000 Paignton and I offer services to help people who are at the beginning of my journey.

How I’m Different
Unlike most people who love fitness from the start and just seem to ‘get it right’ I have tried and failed at every fad diet and exercise gimmick on the market!
I have taught myself through my own experiences how to achieve sustainable results while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. I’m passionate about helping other people do the same.
Exercise has saved my life! I have gone from an overweight depressed teenager to a strong woman who runs marathons, teaches 12 classes a week, lifts more than most men in the gym and now inspires others to LEARN how to make a change.
Above all I am HONEST! I empathise with people who struggle with food and exercise. I regularly blog about my own struggles with everything from emotional eating to bulimia to confidence in the Gym. I strongly believe in creating a community of people both online and in the gym who all support each other in becoming happier, healthier, fitter and stronger!
I know how you feel
I am different from every lifestyle and fitness coach out there because I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! I have been there, I have walked in your shoes and I have done it the wrong way a million and one times and now my mission is to show YOU how to do it the right way.
